Hastelloy Tig Welding

As part of Veolia’s 2024 shutdown in Ellesmere Port, we carried out precision TIG welding on their Saturate Venturi using Hastelloy, a corrosion-resistant alloy ideal for high-temperature and chemical environments. Stainless Steel Pipework Removal

Refractory Anchor Welding

As part of Veolia’s 2024 shutdown, we carried out refractory anchor welding inside their kiln to secure high-temperature linings. This specialist welding work ensures the stability and longevity of the refractory materials, protecting the kiln structure from extreme heat and wear. By reinforcing the anchors with precision welding, we helped improve the efficiency, safety, and durability of the kiln, supporting the client’s long-term operational performance.

During Veolia’s 2024 shutdown, we used gouging electrodes to precisely cut back stainless steel pipework as close to the brickwork as possible. This method allowed us to achieve a much closer, cleaner cut than a grinder, particularly given the curvature of the structure. Due to the high levels of fumes produced during the gouging process, our team utilized air-fed masks to ensure safety while maintaining efficiency. This approach provided a more effective solution for pipework removal in a challenging environment.
